The Start of Simply Samantha Grace

Hello Everyone,
First off, thank you for choosing to read my blog. It really means a lot to me. In my first blog post, I will cover the reason for starting, the reason behind the name and a little about me. I hope you enjoy!
I initially had considered making a blog about two years ago, but never acted upon it until October of 2016. Last October, I finally decided I was going to go through with it and I made an account on WordPress and an Instagram to post on under the name simplysamanthagrace. However, since then I have used Instagram regularly, but I had trouble figuring out WordPress. I won’t compare WordPress to Wix, but I do like Wix better.
How did I find Wix? Well my final project for ENC1102 which is the second English composition class we had to make a website and my professor recommended this site. I started using it and it was so easy for me. So that is how I started on wix.com
As for this blog, I started because in high school and middle school I did yearbook. Yearbook combined two of my passions; writing and photography. However, come high school graduation I didn’t have yearbook anymore. Although, I do have SR Photography, it still felt like something was missing, so I toyed with the idea of making a blog.
That was May 2016 and it is now September 2017.
The decision obviously took a long time and I kept telling myself oh next month and until I finally I decided to just go for it. So that is how I got to this point with the blog.
Now the reasoning behind the name, is fairly simple. My full name is Samantha Grace Richardson, so the Samantha Grace part comes from my actual name. Then the simply part is one for alliteration. Also simply is for just being simple, I promise on this blog to be as open, as honest and as vulnerable as I can be. There are no filters… except maybe on photos, but other than that I am being a hundred percent me. I’m going through life and I’ve learning things as I experience them because it is helping me grow as a person. I love to write and this blog will let me do that.
For the blog, I plan to upload every other day in September and October. Then November to September 2018 it will be once a week and after the year anniversary next year (yes I really am planning that far ahead) I will upload every other week and on special occasions.
Does it seem crazy? Yes. Does it seem like a lot? Yes. Can I, do it? Yes, because I am going to give it my all. That it’s for all about the blog, but here is a little more about me.
I was born in New Jersey, but I have lived majority of my life in Florida.
I am a sophomore in college at UCF. Go Knights!
I enjoy photography, writing, making bows and listening to various boybands.
I did dance for eleven years.
My favorite color is pink. You will see a lot of pink on the blog.
For music, I love pretty much anything pop. I would say one of my favorite bands at the moment is the Gardiner Sisters, they do pop & worship covers on their YouTube channel along with their own music. I highly recommend them.
